Overview

Keepfit is a simple and smart mobile application created for those who follow the tracking goals. A user can find and create training programs, set goals and participate in different challenges.

Problems

Keeping fit is very important for physical and mental well-being of every individual.

Apparently, many people do not know where to start and are also very busy with work and day-to-day activities.

Also, it can be very challenging to keep track of fitness training and exercises.

Solution

Keepfit is a smart phone application that can guide the user to carry out their daily exercises that are adapted to them.

This would definitely save time, money for those that find it difficult to visit the gym or in need of more efficient guide and prefer to work out at home.

Users can ascertain their progress over a course of time.

A user interface that is simple and easy to use for all types of users.

The app will be functional on both IOS and Android devices.

The use of crisp and clear language when communicating.

Research

I conducted an online survey to identify patterns and common preferences among potential users. A total of 41 participants took part, helping to accurately frame the problem.

  • What is your age range?

  • How long is your workout session daily?

  • What form of exercise are you doing to be fit?

  • Where do you prefer to work out daily?

  • How to you feel after your daily workout?

Answer - Most of the asked people do exercise once in a while due to busy work environment

Answer - Majority of people said their main goal is to lose weight and keep fit

Answer - Most people send less than an hour exercising due to busy schedule

My task was to create a modern, stylish application. I began by studying the psychological effects of color and identifying hues associated with health and well-being. From this research, I selected a color that blends green and blue.

Green represents life, health, and renewal.
Blue conveys inspiration, confidence, and freedom.

User Testing

I tested the product based on the most effective solution identified in the prototyping phase.

I conducted a usability testing method that evaluates the product by observing real users as they interact with it.
The test focused on users’ understanding of the interface and the overall ease of use.

The application evaluation was conducted with three users, and the following observations and feedback were gathered:

  1. The screens are very clean and easy to understand.

  2. The images are clear and concise.

  3. The app is easy to use, and it allows me to easily keep track of my daily exercises.

  4. The process for upgrading to “Go Premium” could be more flexible.
